The Joliet Street bridge over St. John Ditch, between Industrial Drive and Hart Street, will be closed for repairs. The closure begins on Tuesday, September 3, at 7:00 a.m. and will last until Tuesday, September 17, at 5:00 p.m., weather permitting.
During the closure, drivers will face detours. Eastbound traffic on Joliet Street should use 96th Place, Route 41, 93rd Avenue, and Hart Street to navigate around the construction. Westbound drivers should use Hart Street, 93rd Avenue, and Route 41. According to the Lake County Highway Department, minor inconveniences are expected, but efforts will be made to minimize delays. Detour signs will be in place, and drivers are urged to use caution and maintain safe distances between vehicles.
