According to the National Weather Service in Paducah, afternoon highs will remain in the upper 70s to lower 80s through Friday, offering noticeably cooler conditions than recent days. Scattered thunderstorms are possible Friday afternoon and evening, with additional scattered storms expected Saturday before hotter air builds back into the region during the second half of the weekend.
The cooler pattern will be felt across much of western Kentucky, including Paducah, Mayfield, Murray, Hopkinsville and surrounding communities.
