Paducah, KY — A cold Friday will give way to a warming trend this weekend before significant rain impacts the region starting Sunday. Temperatures are set to climb from frigid lows tonight into the mid-50s by Saturday afternoon, creating mild conditions ahead of widespread showers Sunday evening.

According to the National Weather Service, the first half of the weekend will remain sunny and dry, with Saturday highs reaching 45°F to 54°F. However, moisture will push into the area Sunday afternoon, bringing consistent rainfall through Monday morning. Areas east of the Mississippi River, including Paducah, are expected to see heavier rain totals, with up to 1 inch of precipitation possible.

Light showers could linger into Tuesday as temperatures dip back into the low 40s overnight. Drivers should exercise caution, especially along major roads like Interstate 24, as wet conditions may reduce visibility during the Monday morning commute.

Looking ahead, cooler and drier weather will return midweek, with daytime highs near 41°F by Wednesday. Residents should monitor updated forecasts, particularly for rain intensity and timing. Stay prepared for changing weather and use Saturday’s warmth to finish any outdoor tasks before the rain arrives.
