Louisville, KY – Residents in Louisville should prepare for a mix of sun, rain, and dropping temperatures this week. After a warm and sunny Monday, showers are expected to move in midweek, followed by cooler air and possible flurries by the weekend.

According to the National Weather Service, Tuesday will bring partly cloudy skies with a high of 59°F. A slight chance of morning showers is possible, but most of the day should remain dry. Winds will be light out of the southwest at 3-6 mph. Wednesday will be the warmest day of the week, reaching a high of 63°F, but a 20% chance of afternoon showers will increase to 70% overnight, making for a soggy midweek commute.

By Thursday, temperatures will begin to fall, with highs near 50°F and a 20% chance of lingering showers before noon. Overnight lows will dip to 33°F under partly cloudy skies. Friday and Saturday will see highs in the mid-50s, but light snow flurries are possible in the evenings as temperatures drop into the low 40s.

Drivers should remain cautious, especially during Wednesday night’s rain. Flooding is not expected, but wet roads could create hazardous conditions.

Stay tuned for further weather updates, and be sure to dress in layers as the temperatures fluctuate.
