Paducah, KY – A cold front is sweeping across western Kentucky today, bringing much colder temperatures and gusty winds to Paducah. Residents can expect highs in the low 40s, but wind gusts reaching up to 30 mph will make it feel even chillier.

According to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Paducah, light rain or snow flurries are possible this afternoon, particularly along the I-24 corridor. Overnight, skies will clear, dropping temperatures to a low of 29 degrees. Drivers are encouraged to use caution as wind gusts may impact visibility and travel safety.

Thursday will offer some relief with sunny skies and slightly warmer highs near 47 degrees, accompanied by calmer winds. However, the real change comes Friday, with highs reaching the mid-50s and the return of cloudy conditions. Rain showers are likely Friday night into Saturday, with precipitation chances hovering around 60%.

Saturday will stay mild with highs in the mid-50s, but periods of rain are expected throughout the day. Rain chances diminish Sunday, but cooler air will return with lows in the mid-40s.

Paducah residents should bundle up for today’s cold blast, prepare for potentially slick roads this evening, and stay updated on changing conditions as warmer but wetter weather moves in by the weekend.

Extended Forecast:

• Thursday Night: Partly cloudy, low 33°F

• Friday: High 54°F, increasing clouds

• Saturday: Showers, high 55°F
