Louisville, KY – The remnants of Hurricane Beryl will sweep across Kentucky today, bringing a heightened risk of severe thunderstorms and isolated tornadoes. The US National Weather Service in Louisville has issued a weather alert, forecasting scattered showers and strong thunderstorms, particularly along and west of Interstate 65.

According to the National Weather Service, the strongest storms are expected to hit tonight, with damaging winds and brief spin-up tornadoes being the primary threats. Temperatures will range from the low 80s in the northwest to the 90s in the southeast of the state.

Tomorrow, showers will become more isolated, with breezy conditions and cooler temperatures expected. Highs will range between 79 and 84 degrees, providing some relief from the intense heat. By Thursday, Kentucky residents can anticipate mostly sunny skies and temperatures climbing back into the mid-to-upper 80s.

Looking ahead to the weekend, the weather is expected to remain warm and dry, with highs reaching the upper 80s to low 90s. Friday and Saturday will see clear skies, making it an ideal time for outdoor activities. Sunday will continue this trend, with temperatures staying in the comfortable low 90s.
