Kentucky – A mix of rain, wind, and sunshine will shape Kentucky’s weekend weather as residents prepare to set clocks forward for daylight saving time. Rain showers and gusty winds will impact travel late Friday into early Saturday before skies clear for a sunnier Sunday.

According to the National Weather Service, rain is expected across much of the state Friday night, with a 60% chance in areas like Louisville and Jackson. Temperatures will drop into the upper 30s before rebounding to the low 50s Saturday afternoon. Winds will shift from the south to the northwest, with gusts reaching 20 mph.

By Saturday night, skies will clear, and temperatures will dip into the mid-30s. Sunday brings a much sunnier outlook, with highs in the mid- to upper-50s. However, colder mornings will persist, so residents should be prepared for chilly starts.

Daylight saving time begins at 2 a.m. Sunday, meaning clocks should be set ahead one hour. The shift will bring later sunsets, giving residents more daylight to enjoy the improving weather.

Looking ahead, Kentucky will see a warming trend into next week. Highs will climb into the 60s by Monday and may reach the low 70s by Wednesday. Rain chances increase midweek, but the mild spring-like temperatures will continue.
