Paducah, Kentucky – Spring warmth is surging back into western Kentucky this week, with highs reaching the upper 70s and a growing chance of midweek rain.
According to the National Weather Service in Paducah, Tuesday will bring the warmest day so far this spring, with highs around 76°F under mostly sunny skies. While Tuesday night remains quiet, a pattern shift midweek will bring increasing chances for showers—particularly Wednesday and Thursday—as a weak frontal system pushes through.
Wednesday’s high will reach 73°F before a 50% chance of showers arrives late in the day and continues into the night. A few scattered storms could develop, although no severe weather is currently expected. Showers may linger through Thursday night, with a slight chance of overnight rain continuing into early Friday.
Calm winds early in the week will shift out of the southeast by midweek, ranging from 5 to 9 mph. Travel impacts should remain minimal, though drivers on I-24 and U.S. 60 could encounter slick spots Wednesday evening.
