Kendall County Sheriff Investigates Newark Vehicle Theft and ATM Damage

Newark, IL – The Kendall County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a vehicle theft and vandalism incident at the Heartland Bank ATM on South Union Street in Newark. Authorities believe the crime occurred between 11:00 p.m. on August 18 and 2:00 a.m. on August 19.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, the stolen vehicle was taken from the 0-100 block of Front Street during this timeframe and later found abandoned in a farm field near Townhouse Road. Investigators are asking Newark residents and businesses, especially those near these locations, to review any security footage captured during these hours.
