Wichita, Kansas – A few isolated showers and thunderstorms are possible across central and eastern Kansas Thursday afternoon through the evening, with temperatures ranging from 68 to 72°F. According to the National Weather Service, these storms are expected between 1 p.m. and 9 p.m. but will be scattered in nature, providing some dry intervals as well.

Beyond Thursday’s storms, the weather in the region will calm, with mostly clear skies and quiet conditions setting in by Friday. Highs will remain in the low 70s, reaching 72 to 77°F. Overnight lows will dip to the mid-40s, with Friday morning temperatures around 45 to 47°F.

Travelers and residents across central and eastern Kansas can expect a weekend with mostly sunny skies, comfortable temperatures in the low to mid-70s on Saturday and Sunday, and lows near 45°F. Monday, however, will be breezier, with temperatures climbing to a high of 76 to 80°F.

No major weather-related disruptions are expected, but it’s a good idea to stay prepared for isolated showers on Thursday afternoon. Weather will remain calm through the weekend with a gentle breeze picking up early next week.
