Alabama Weather Update: Low Rain Chances for Birmingham and Surrounding Areas Through Tonight

Birmingham, AL – Central Alabama is expected to remain mostly dry this afternoon and tonight with a very low chance of showers or thunderstorms, according to the National Weather Service. While isolated thunderstorms could develop later today, coverage will be limited, and most areas should stay rain-free.

According to the National Weather Service, temperatures will reach the low to mid-70s across the region by 7 p.m. This includes Birmingham at 74°F, Tuscaloosa at 76°F, and Anniston at 75°F. Tonight, lows will cool into the low 60s for many areas, with Birmingham dropping to around 63°F and Gadsden dipping to 60°F.

Most locations will not experience any significant weather impacts through the evening. For those planning outdoor activities or evening commutes, conditions should remain pleasant. Still, a few light showers are possible in some areas.
