Kankakee Salvation Army Seeks Volunteers for Holiday Bell Ringing and Toy Drive

Kankakee, IL – The Salvation Army of Kankakee is seeking community members to help bring holiday cheer to those in need. With the holiday season approaching, the organization needs volunteers for its annual Christmas programs, including bell ringing, toy organizing, and gift collection.

According to the Salvation Army, those interested in volunteering as bell ringers can register online at RegistertoRing.com. The Salvation Army is also in need of volunteers to assist with toy organization and kettle and barrel drop-offs and pickups. Community members can contact Alvy Butler or Lt. In addition, the Salvation Army’s Angel Tree program is now open for registration. This annual program allows individuals to “adopt” children by providing gifts to brighten their holidays. Interested participants can register their “angels” by scanning a QR code or contacting the Kankakee Salvation Army directly.
