Kankakee, IL – A significant operation led by the Kankakee Area Metropolitan Enforcement Group (KAMEG), in collaboration with several law enforcement agencies, has culminated in the arrest of three Kankakee County residents on various drug-related charges.
The collaborative effort, which included the Illinois Department of Corrections (IDOC), Kankakee City Police, Bradley Police, the Kankakee County Sheriff’s Office, the Tri-County Auto Theft Task Force, and the ATF, targeted multiple locations for compliance checks across the county. The operation resulted in the seizure of a firearm, about 350 grams of suspected cannabis, close to seven grams of suspected methamphetamine, and a gram of suspected heroin or fentanyl.
Andrew B. Hancock, 38, of Kankakee, faces alleged charges for manufacturing or delivery of methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver, and child endangerment. Holly A. Jenkins, 33, also from Kankakee, has been charged with alleged manufacturing or delivery of methamphetamine and child endangerment. Additionally, Jose A. Garduno, 33, of Momence, was arrested for alleged manufacturing or delivering cannabis.
All detainees are currently held at the Jerome Combs Detention Center, awaiting further legal proceedings.
