Kankakee, IL – The Caleb’s Prayer Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting families impacted by cancer in Kankakee and Iroquois counties, is gearing up for its 15th Annual Benefit Car Show, which will take place on Sunday, May 18th, at Phillips Chevrolet in Bradley, Illinois.
Founded in memory of Caleb Hoggins, who passed away from cancer at the age of 15, the foundation has been providing financial assistance to local families for over a decade. To date, Caleb’s Prayer Foundation has raised more than $105,000 to assist with groceries, transportation, housing costs, medical bills, and funeral expenses.
This year’s event promises to be another exciting day for car enthusiasts and supporters alike. Last year, 156 vehicles were displayed at the event, attracting hundreds of spectators. With local businesses rallying behind the cause, the show raised over $15,000, contributing to the foundation’s continued mission.
Registration for the show will begin at 9 a.m. on May 18th, with judging kicking off at 11 a.m. Trophies will be awarded to the top three vehicles in each of 18 classes, along with special categories including Best Paint, Best Interior, Best Engine, and the coveted Best of Show award. In addition, a Caleb’s Memorial Award will be presented. Raffle prizes, door prizes, and a 50/50 split-the-pot contest will also be part of the fun. Food and drinks will be available for purchase throughout the day, with proceeds benefiting the foundation.
The event is free to the public, making it an accessible way to support a great cause while enjoying a collection of stunning vehicles. In the event of rain, the car show will be rescheduled for Sunday, June 1st.
Since its inception in 2010, the Benefit Car Show has raised a total of $105,535 to help local families in need. All proceeds directly benefit individuals affected by cancer, continuing Caleb Hoggins’ legacy of kindness and support for others.
