Kankakee County Dog Kennels Reach Critical Capacity, Offering $15 Microchipping at Farmers Market

Kankakee County, IL – Kankakee County Animal Control has announced that their dog kennels are currently full, marking a critical status. They are urging pet owners to ensure their pets have current rabies vaccinations and updated microchip information. 

For pets not yet microchipped, Animal Control will be offering microchipping services at the Kankakee Farmers Market this Saturday from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. The cost for microchipping is $15, and the fee is payable by cash only. They will also handle the registration of the microchip on-site.
