Kankakee, IL – Authorities in Kankakee County have charged three out-of-state suspects with fraud after officers allegedly found them with counterfeit bills. Police in Momence reportedly caught the suspects with fake $100 bills, printing equipment, and materials.
According to the Kankakee County State’s Attorney’s Office, fraud is a class 3 felony in Illinois, carrying a maximum penalty of five years in prison.
Officials identified the suspects as Terry Daniel, 24, of Florida; Jalen Evans, 24, of South Carolina; and Cameron Stallings, 25, of Mississippi. They appeared in court Tuesday but were released under Illinois’ Safe-T Act, which classifies fraud as a non-detainable offense.
