Kankakee, IL – A Bradley man faces multiple charges after allegedly peeping into windows at various locations within the village.

Diego Morocho-Loja, 36, was charged with two alleged counts of Class A misdemeanor disorderly conduct and two alleged counts of Class C misdemeanor disorderly conduct. The incidents allegedly occurred on August 26 and August 30 in Bradley.

The Illinois Safe-T Act, effective since last September, mandates the release of individuals charged with such offenses. According to the Kankakee County State’s Attorney’s Office, the act restricts judges from detaining offenders, even if they pose a public safety threat. Following a detention hearing, Morocho-Loja was released with conditions.

Authorities urge residents to review their surveillance footage from the dates mentioned. They are asked to report any suspicious activity, such as individuals peeping into windows, to the local police. Residents should set security cameras to “alert” mode and enable push notifications to ensure immediate alerts during evening hours.

If you have any information regarding this case or suspect suspicious activity, contact your local law enforcement agency.
