St. Charles, IL – A Waukegan man has been sentenced to 48 years in prison after being convicted of multiple counts related to the sexual assault of a child in Kane County.
According to the Kane County State’s Attorney’s Office, Judge Bianca Camargo handed down the sentence to Glenn Wilson following his conviction on January 28, 2026. A jury found Wilson guilty of four counts of predatory criminal sexual assault of a child, a Class X felony, and four counts of criminal sexual assault, a Class 1 felony.
Prosecutors said the offenses occurred between 2006 and 2009 at a home in Aurora, where Wilson allegedly lived with the victim and her family. During that time, authorities said he repeatedly sexually abused the child.
The court sentenced Wilson to consecutive prison terms, totaling 48 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections. Under state law, he must serve at least 85% of the sentence. He was also credited with 86 days already served in the Kane County jail.
In addition to prison time, Wilson will be required to register as a sex offender for life under the Illinois Sex Offender Registration Act.
According to prosecutors, the defendant allegedly used a position of authority to commit the crimes and threatened the victim into silence. Officials credited the victim’s testimony and the jury’s verdict in securing the conviction.
The case was prosecuted by the Kane County State’s Attorney’s Office with assistance from Aurora law enforcement.
