Joliet, IL – Nigerian Native Identified as Victim in Joliet Shooting, Suspect Vehicle Sought

Joliet, IL – A 28-year-old male from Nigeria, who had been living in the United States for about three years, has been identified as the victim in the fatal shooting at Pheasant Run Apartments in Unincorporated Joliet Township. 

The Will County Sheriff’s Office responded to the incident on January 21st, where the victim tragically succumbed to his injuries despite emergency interventions. 

In connection with this case, the authorities are urgently seeking a red Toyota Camry, with the license plate Q73 0412, observed at both the Joliet Township shooting and a separate, non-fatal shooting in Joliet. The public is advised to report any sightings of this vehicle to 911 but not to approach it.
