Joliet, IL – Multi-Vehicle Collision on I-80 Near Joliet Leads to Road Closure Friday 

Joliet, IL – Emergency crews rushed to the scene of a multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 80 near Joliet, Illinois, on Friday evening. The accident involved a semi-truck, a box truck, and a passenger vehicle in the eastbound lanes near South Larkin Avenue, causing significant disruptions. 

According to the Illinois State Police (ISP), the collision led to the rollover of the semi-truck, with at least one individual transported to a local hospital for injuries. The crash, which occurred in a congested area due to a previous incident, resulted in the closure of the eastbound lanes at Houbolt Road. 

The ISP is investigating the cause of the crash, and details are still emerging.
