Ina, IL – Two residents of Ina were arrested on child pornography charges Tuesday afternoon by Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office detectives and deputies. Tyler J. Stover, 28, and Julie R. Bulthuis, 25, were taken into custody at their residence on S. Cross Street under Jefferson County warrants. Both face charges related to child pornography and are currently held at Jefferson County Jail pending their pre-trial detention hearings.
The investigation began on July 1, 2024, following a complaint lodged with the Mt. Vernon Police Department. Authorities determined the alleged activities occurred in Ina, IL, prompting the involvement of Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office. According to law enforcement, detectives executed a search warrant at the Ina residence on July 2, 2024, uncovering evidence that included criminal activity linked to a juvenile family member.
The forensic analysis of the evidence led to formal charges being issued by the State’s Attorney’s Office. Both Stover and Bulthuis remain incarcerated, awaiting further legal proceedings.
