Jasper County, IN – State Road 16 will be closed between C.R. 280 W and C.R. 180 W beginning Tuesday, September 3. The closure will last until late October for bridge deck overlay maintenance over Bice Ditch.
Motorists should plan ahead and follow the official detour routes, which include U.S. 231, State Road 114, and U.S. 421. The closure will affect local traffic and those commuting through Jasper County.
According to the Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT), the project aims to improve safety and prolong the bridge’s lifespan. INDOT encourages drivers to be patient and adhere to the detour routes for a smoother commute.
