Jasper County, IN – A kitchen fire broke out Sunday night at the Fair Oaks Farms restaurant, near I-65 and SR 14, resulting in a temporary closure. Multiple fire departments responded quickly to contain the blaze.
According to the Morocco Volunteer Fire Department, neighboring units from Rensselaer, Keener Township, and others provided mutual aid. The fire started as a grease fire in the kitchen and was confined to one section. Crews were able to extinguish the fire swiftly, and no injuries were reported.
Fair Oaks Farms management confirmed that the restaurant’s suppression system prevented the fire from spreading through roof ducts. The restaurant will remain closed on Monday for assessments, though all banquets and group events will continue as scheduled.
