Watseka, IL – A Watseka High School agriculture teacher was arrested Thursday following an investigation into allegations of inappropriate conduct. Police were alerted on Tuesday, October 8, after students reported the teacher, Bailey Bushong, 23, of Hoopeston, had made inappropriate comments during class.
According to the Watseka Police Department, investigators interviewed several students at the Children’s Advocacy Center. During the investigation, police discovered that Bushong had allegedly shown some students pornographic images on a few occasions.
Police arrested Bushong on Thursday, October 10. She was charged with grooming and distributing harmful material. Bushong remains in the Iroquois County Jail as of Friday. According to authorities, the investigation is ongoing, and more charges may be pending.
Bushong was employed by Watseka High School at the time of the alleged incidents.
