Lisle, IL – Following a tip-off of a local IP address has ended in a child pornography case for Lisle Police.
According to the Lisle Police Department, an investigation was initiated after detecting suspicious activity from an IP address. This led detectives to a residence on the 500 block of Hitchcock Avenue in Lisle, where evidence of child pornography was allegedly discovered on a phone and computer hard drive.
The resident, Garrett Kappel, has been charged with five counts alleged Child Pornography, a Class 2 Felony. He is now being held at the DuPage County Jail pending a detention hearing. Chief Kevin Licko commended the detectives for their thorough work in building a robust case against Kappel.
