According to the National Weather Service in the Quad Cities, isolated thunderstorms are possible between 3 and 5 p.m. Friday. Winds from the southwest could gust up to 35 mph, with sustained speeds of 15 to 20 mph. Visibility may drop during brief downpours, especially near interstates like I-74 and U.S. 61. Precipitation chances stand at 20%, but travelers should remain alert to rapidly changing conditions.

Temperatures are expected to reach 85°F Friday before falling into the low 50s overnight. Saturday brings relief as skies clear and winds settle, with a high near 72°F and gusts maxing out around 25 mph. Saturday night will be mostly clear and cooler, with lows near 48°F.

Sunday looks like the standout day of the weekend with sunny skies and highs around 76°F. However, the calm weather won’t last long. Cloud cover increases Sunday night with a 30% chance of showers by early Monday.

Rain and thunder return Monday afternoon with a 40% to 80% chance of precipitation through Tuesday. Tuesday’s high will be a cooler 64°F, with another round of rain likely.
