Indianapolis, IN – Eight people were hospitalized following a serious car crash at the intersection of E New York St and State Ave.
The accident involved a silver Charger and a silver Ford Explorer, both driven by 34-year-old individuals. Three children were transported in critical condition, while three other kids and two adults were in stable condition.
According to the Indianapolis Fire Department, units from IFD, IEMS, Beech Grove EMS, and Pike Twp. EMS responded to the scene, providing patient care and transportation. The driver of the Charger was headed north on State Ave, and the driver of the Explorer was traveling east on New York when the collision occurred. All the children were in the Explorer, and no entrapments were reported.
The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department is investigating the crash.
