Fort Wayne, IN – Light to moderate snow is expected to continue through the early morning hours across northern Indiana, according to the National Weather Service in Northern Indiana.

A Special Weather Statement and Hazardous Weather Outlook remain in effect, calling for 1 to 2 inches of snow accumulation, with isolated higher amounts possible in some areas. The snow will taper off later Monday morning, but slick roadways, especially on bridges and overpasses, could make for a slow and slippery morning commute.

Winds out of the north at 10–15 mph, with gusts up to 25 mph, will contribute to reduced visibility during heavier bursts of snow. The Weather Service advises motorists to allow extra travel time and use caution while driving.

Snow showers will gradually end by midday Monday, followed by clearing skies and temperatures in the upper 30s. Sunshine returns Tuesday with highs reaching the mid-40s, bringing a brief reprieve from wintry weather before another cool-down midweek.
