Indiana Traffic Alert: Ireland Road Reopened After Rollover Crash in South Bend

South Bend, IN – A morning crash in South Bend involving two vehicles led to a rollover and trapped one driver, prompting a swift emergency response and temporarily shutting down Ireland Road.

According to the South Bend Fire Department, the crash occurred just before 7:45 a.m. at the intersection of Ireland and Linden Roads. One of the vehicles flipped over, leaving an adult female trapped inside. South Bend and Centre Township Fire Departments arrived on the scene and extricated the woman by 7:55 a.m.

She was transported to a nearby hospital with injuries, the extent of which remains unknown as of this report.

Ireland Road, which was closed to traffic during the response and recovery operations, reopened at 8:35 a.m.

Authorities have not yet released additional details regarding the cause of the crash or the identity of those involved. Motorists were advised to exercise caution while driving through the area during the morning commute as crews completed cleanup and investigation work.

The South Bend Fire Department has not issued any further updates, but investigation into the incident is likely ongoing.
