Logansport, IN — A 15-year-old student from Lewis Cass Schools was arrested Monday following threats made against classmates.
Cass County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Tyler Hanna, a school resource officer, received a tip about a student allegedly threatening others and possessing multiple weapons. Authorities acted quickly, detaining the student before lockdown procedures became necessary.
According to the Cass County Sheriff’s Office, no firearms were found in the student’s possession at school. However, further evidence, including a potential target list, was seized during a search of the student’s residence Monday morning.
The student was transported to the Allen County Juvenile Detention Center and is awaiting a court date in Cass County. The investigation involved Lewis Cass School staff, Cass County Juvenile Probation, Walton Police, and the Cass County Prosecutor’s Office.
