Indiana State Police Seek Witnesses in Fatal Starke County Crash on April 26th

Starke County, Indiana – A fatal single-vehicle crash involving a blue Ford Escape in Starke County has prompted Indiana State Police to request the public’s help in identifying potential witnesses.

According to the Indiana State Police Lowell Post, the crash occurred Saturday, April 26, 2025, around 10:28 p.m. on County Road 600 East, just south of County Road 700 North in Hamlet. The driver of the vehicle died from injuries sustained in the collision.

Authorities are asking anyone who saw the crash or noticed any unusual driving behavior involving the blue Ford Escape before the incident to contact Trooper Jordin Rosillo. Witnesses can reach Trooper Rosillo at 219-696-6242 and leave a message if she is unavailable; calls will be returned during business hours.

The investigation remains ongoing, and police have not released the identity of the deceased as of Wednesday.

Anyone with relevant information is urged to assist by contacting law enforcement to support the investigation.
