Logansport, IN – The president and treasurer of the Logansport Babe Ruth League are facing felony theft charges following an Indiana State Police investigation into missing league funds.
According to the Indiana State Police Peru District, investigators opened the case in June 2026 after receiving allegations of theft involving the Babe Ruth League’s president and treasurer in Logansport.
Investigators allege Christopher Shank, 45, and Erica Huddleston, 44, stole approximately $2,000 from the organization over the course of several months.
Following the investigation, Indiana State Police submitted the findings to the Cass County Prosecutor’s Office, which filed one count of theft (Level 6 felony) against each defendant.
After arrest warrants were issued, Shank and Huddleston turned themselves in at the Cass County Sheriff’s Office, according to state police.
Authorities did not release additional details regarding how the money was allegedly taken or over what specific period the alleged thefts occurred.
Indiana State Police said that because arrests have been made, any additional inquiries regarding the case should be directed to the Cass County Prosecutor’s Office.
The investigation has concluded, and the criminal case will proceed through the court system.
As with all criminal cases, the charges are allegations, and both defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
