Indianapolis, IN — The Indiana Department of Natural Resources (DNR) is calling on residents to be vigilant in protecting the state’s wildlife and natural resources. The DNR reminds Hoosiers that everyone plays a role in stopping illegal poaching and wildlife violations.

According to a recent post from the Indiana DNR Division of Law Enforcement, individuals are encouraged to report any suspicious activity related to poaching or environmental violations. The department urges anyone who sees, hears, or learns about poaching or environmental pollution to contact their Turn in a Poacher (TIP) hotline at 1-800-TIP-IDNR (1-800-847-4367) or visit tip.IN.gov. Those providing information may remain anonymous and could be eligible for a $500 reward.

This initiative seeks to empower the public to act as stewards of Indiana’s natural resources. With wildlife and environmental preservation at stake, the DNR emphasizes the importance of community involvement in stopping illegal activities that harm local ecosystems. Every report can help protect Indiana’s wildlife for future generations.
