Warrick County, IN — The body of a missing Spencer County man, Justin R. MacDonald, was found on Monday morning in the Ohio River near the Newburgh Lock and Dam. Multiple agencies responded and recovered the body, which was later taken to the Vanderburgh County Coroner’s Office.
According to officials, an autopsy on Tuesday confirmed MacDonald’s identity. The coroner ruled the death as an accidental drowning. There were no signs of foul play or trauma.
Indiana State Police initially sought public help to locate MacDonald, who was last seen on September 29 near French Island Marina. MacDonald, 6-foot-1 with blonde hair and blue eyes, had been missing for more than a week.
