Clarksville, IN – Police arrested a southern Indiana man Tuesday for allegedly making life-threatening statements against Elon Musk on X.
Texas authorities contacted Indiana State Police (ISP) about threats posted on X by an account linked to 28-year-old David Allen June Cherry. Detectives tracked Cherry to Clarksville and arrested him without incident. Officers transported him to the Sellersburg Post for questioning.
ISP obtained a search warrant for Cherry’s residence in Palmyra. Detectives seized an AR-15-style rifle, a handgun, ammunition, and a ballistic vest.
Cherry faces a Level 5 felony charge for intimidation. He remains in the Harrison County Jail without bond.
“All subjects are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty in court,” ISP stated.
