Indianapolis, IN – Sub-zero wind chills and scattered snow showers will grip central Indiana through Friday as bitter cold lingers across the region. Residents should prepare for dangerous wind chills, which could drop as low as -7 degrees overnight.
According to the National Weather Service (NWS), occasional light snow will continue through Wednesday morning, with minor accumulations expected. Additional snow is forecast overnight, with up to two inches possible near Vincennes. Roads may become slick, especially during the evening commute.
By Wednesday, isolated snow showers will persist, and wind chills will remain near or below zero. Mostly sunny conditions return Thursday and Friday, but high temperatures will struggle to reach the mid-20s.
The weekend will bring a noticeable shift, with highs climbing into the 30s by Saturday and mid-40s by Sunday as an Arctic air mass moves out.
