Illinois Weather Forecast: Warm Start to the Week, Fall Chill by the Weekend

Champaign, IL – Central Illinois is in for a mix of temperatures this week, with a brief warm-up followed by cooler conditions by the weekend. Highs will range from the mid-80s to the low 70s, while nighttime temperatures will dip into the 40s.

According to the National Weather Service (NWS), temperatures today will reach 83-85 degrees, with Thursday bringing highs of 86-88 degrees. Friday will see a cooler high of 73-80 degrees with a chance of rain east of I-57.

Rain chances are expected to be light, mostly occurring Thursday night into Friday. By Saturday and Sunday, a fall-like chill will settle in, with highs in the upper 60s to low 70s and lows dropping to the mid-40s.

Residents should prepare for cooler mornings and evenings while enjoying pleasant daytime conditions.
