According to the Village of Tinley Park Public Safety Department, traffic lights are currently out at 171st Street and 80th Avenue as well as 171st Street and Harlem Avenue. The outages are being attributed to damage sustained during last night’s severe weather.
Officials are urging drivers to approach the affected intersections with caution, treat them as four-way stops, and allow extra travel time during their morning and evening commutes. Crews are reportedly working to restore power and ensure safety at the impacted sites, though no estimated time for repairs has been provided as of Friday morning.
