HOMER, Ill. – On the first day of school at Homer Community Consolidated District 33C, an art class cancellation due to a new teacher’s questionable social media posts has ignited parental outrage.

Disturbing content, including allegations of child sacrifice and Satan worship depictions, has alarmed parents, who claim the teacher misrepresented their mental health on social media.

“While the district cannot speak on matters of personnel for individual employees, I do want parents to know that I have heard your concerns, understand the issues highlighted by the community, and am investigating the situation.” The District said in a letter to parents.

Parents plan to voice concerns at an upcoming board meeting. The district acknowledges the concerns and is investigating while reiterating their commitment to student safety and professionalism.
