Illinois State Police Investigation Leads to Arrest of Chicago Man for Felony Hit-and-Run

Chicago, IL – A Chicago man has been arrested following an Illinois State Police (ISP) investigation into a hit-and-run that left multiple people injured.

According to ISP, the crash occurred August 11 on I-94 northbound express lanes at 43rd Street. Troopers arrived to find that the driver of a gray Hyundai, involved in the multi-vehicle collision, had fled the scene. After weeks of investigation, 35-year-old Karris A. Turner was identified as the driver.

A warrant was issued October 1, and Turner was arrested November 30 during a Chicago traffic stop. He faces a felony charge of leaving the scene of a personal injury crash.
