Carmi, IL – A child death investigation is underway in White County after authorities responded to the report of a deceased two-year-old.
According to the Illinois State Police Division of Criminal Investigation Zone 8, officers were contacted by the White County Sheriff’s Office around 12:59 p.m. Friday to assist with the case. The ISP’s Child Death Investigative Task Force was activated shortly after the request.
