BOLINGBROOK, IL – A routine medical emergency call took a tragic turn on the evening of September 30th on Lakeview Circle, Bolingbrook.
According to police reports, at 6:57 pm, John Taylor, a 41-year-old resident known to have bipolar disorder and schizophrenia, suffered a diabetic episode. Upon the arrival of paramedics and police, a physical altercation arose, leading to the deployment of a taser on Taylor.
The subsequent events cast a somber shadow, with Taylor later being pronounced dead at a local hospital.
Illinois State Police have since stepped in, rigorously examining the circumstances surrounding the taser use during such a vulnerable moment.
