Illinois State Police Arrest Alsip Man for Attempted Murder on I-57

Chicago, IL – Illinois State Police have arrested a 44-year-old Lloyd Wickliffe of Alsip on charges of Attempted Murder.

According to ISP, officers received a call on Sunday at approximately 5:58 a.m. regarding a shooting on Interstate 57 southbound near 115th Street. The preliminary investigation indicated that the victim’s vehicle was targeted by a suspect in a Chevrolet Impala. No injuries were reported.

After an extensive investigation, ISP identified the suspect and the vehicle involved. The case was presented to the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office, resulting in the charges being filed. No further information is available at this time.

The charges are not evidence of guilt, and Wickliffe is presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
