Park Ridge, IL – A noticeable police presence is expected around Maine East High School on Tuesday as the Park Ridge Police Department conducts a scheduled training exercise.
According to officials, the drill will take place June 3, 2025, and is part of routine emergency preparedness. There is no active threat, and school will not be in session during the training.
Residents may see officers in tactical gear and squad cars in the area. Police are asking the public not to be alarmed and to avoid the vicinity during morning hours if possible.
The department conducts such drills regularly in partnership with schools and local emergency services to improve coordinated response in critical situations.
