Dearborn, MI – Authorities have arrested an Illinois man linked to an armed robbery at a jewelry store in Dearborn. The arrest followed an investigation by Dearborn police, in collaboration with the FBI Violent Crimes Task Force.
The suspect allegedly participated in the Aug. 7, 2024, robbery at a store on the city’s east side. According to police, two masked men entered the store with guns, ordering everyone inside to get on the ground. One suspect held employees and customers at gunpoint while the other suspect looted the store, filling a bag with jewelry. An employee fired shots at the suspects, who fled the scene in a black Mazda 3 sedan.
Authorities identified and arrested the Illinois resident involved in the crime. He will be extradited to Dearborn, where he faces multiple charges related to the robbery.
