Joliet, IL – Drivers in Will County should prepare for delays along eastbound I-80 tonight as lane closures and intermittent full traffic stops are scheduled between Houbolt Road and Larkin Avenue.
According to I-80 Will, lane closures will begin at 8 p.m., with full traffic stops of up to 15 minutes starting at 1 a.m. Friday. The affected stretch will remain under active maintenance until approximately 5 a.m., when all lanes are expected to reopen.
The temporary traffic disruption is part of ongoing overhead sign removal efforts in the area, which are being coordinated overnight to minimize daytime traffic impact. Crews urge motorists to plan alternate routes and remain alert while traveling through the construction zone.
