Merrillville, IN — Road work is set to cause major traffic disruptions along I-65 and I-94 in Lake County starting Tuesday, October 8, continuing through late November. Concrete patching will reduce traffic to two lanes in each direction between I-94 and 61st Ave.
The Indiana Department of Transportation announced that ramps at the I-94 and I-65 interchange will remain open. However, motorists using the eastbound I-94 ramp to southbound I-65 will be restricted to one lane.
According to INDOT, there will also be ramp closures from Broadway to eastbound I-94 and from Ridge Road to I-65 southbound. Overnight lane closures may also occur between 61st Ave. and U.S. 30 as needed.
