LAS VEGAS — The I-15/Tropicana Interchange Project is complete, but commuters should continue to expect periodic lane restrictions due to ongoing roadway improvements across the valley.
The city’s ambitious I-15/Tropicana Interchange project was completed in late 2025 after three years. The more than $350 million project reconfigured everything along Interstate 15 and Tropicana Avenue, including new on- and off-ramps, wider sidewalks, and better signage. The interchange was designed to handle more than 60,000 vehicles per day and is expected to significantly ease congestion in the area.
But there are still ongoing road works that drivers need to be aware of.
The Henderson 215 project involves a major overhaul of the 215 Beltway and the Summerlin Parkway interchange. Completion is scheduled for 2028, and in the meantime, the project is installing speed limit reductions, lane closures, and off-ramp closures. Weekly updates are released on the Henderson Project 15 website. The Reimagine Boulder Highway project continues until mid-2027.
The city of Las Vegas and the city of North Las Vegas’ street improvement project continues until mid-fall on Lake Mead Boulevard. Commuters can expect a minimum of one lane open during this phase, as well as temporary closure of bus stops.
