Huntsville, AL – Clear skies and warm temperatures will kick off the first week of February, but rain and thunderstorms are on the way by midweek.
According to the National Weather Service, Monday will be sunny with a high of 74°F, followed by mostly clear skies overnight with a low of 52°F. Tuesday stays warm, reaching 71°F, before rain chances increase late at night.
By Wednesday, a 30% chance of thunderstorms will develop, with highs remaining in the low 70s. The storm risk climbs to 50% Wednesday night and into Thursday, potentially impacting morning commutes. By Friday, dry and cooler conditions return, with temperatures dropping to the low 60s.
Drivers should be cautious on I-565 and I-65 as storms move through. Flash flooding is not expected, but wet roads and isolated thunderstorms could create hazards. Stay tuned for updates as the weather pattern develops.
