Richmond, VA – Virginians can expect a mix of cold temperatures, clouds, and a midweek wintry mix as February begins. Monday will bring a slight warm-up, but rain and snow could impact midweek travel.

According to the National Weather Service, Monday will see partly sunny skies and highs near 58°F, offering a brief break from the cold. Overnight, temperatures will dip into the mid-40s. Tuesday remains mild, with a high of 58°F, but colder air returns Tuesday night, bringing lows in the low 30s.

By Wednesday, a mix of snow and sleet is expected before transitioning to rain in the afternoon. With a high of 42°F and a 60% chance of precipitation, roads may be slick. Wednesday night could see heavy rain, with an 80% chance of precipitation and lows in the mid-30s.

Thursday brings more rain, with highs in the upper 50s before clearing Friday. Looking ahead, the first weekend of February appears cool and dry.

Drivers should prepare for potentially hazardous conditions midweek, especially during the Wednesday morning commute. Stay updated on weather changes and plan accordingly.
